Quickes Smoked Cheddar Cheese
There are cheeses that have a smoky flavour and then there is the Quickes Smoked Cheddar. Unlike some others on the market that are synthetically flavoured, this cheese is cold smoked using oak chips from the estate it resides on. This gives the cheese a wonderfully coloured appearance and a smoky flavour which is heavenly.
Typically, the cheese is matured for between 9-12 months and is a popular seller in the shop.
We pair this successfully with an oaky chardonnay or Chilean sauvignon blanc. The cheese flavour is such that it doesn’t need any help from chutneys or additional flavours. Just enjoy with a cold glass of white wine. Keep it simple.
